Campus Corner Southern Conference

Future Member Mercer Volunteers in Macon Community

The event kicked off in Cruz Plaza at 9 a.m. as players from both teams were sent out amongst several groups who participated in five different neighborhood cleanups across the city with local Neighborhood Associations and Shalom Zones.

The event is the largest community service event Mercer organizes all year long and is meant to bring students, faculty, and staff together and become involved in the community by helping clean pick up trash.

Last year over 300 students and over 1300 hours of service to the Macon community were given by the Mercer community and initial estimates from this year's event suspect an even bigger turnout.
