Three Southern Conference schools were cited in a recent report in The Chronicle of Higher Education as ranking among the best places to work.
Elon University, Furman University and Wofford College each appeared on The Chronicle's list of "Great Colleges to Work For" which identified 111 colleges and universities across the United States that created an exceptional work environment for its employees.
Furman was further lauded with Honor Roll distinction as one of the top four-year institutions in the small school category, consisting of schools with fewer than 3,000 enrolled students. Furman was recognized for excellence in eight different categories, including professional/career development programs, work/life balance and facilities.
Elon was praised for its collaborative governance, facilities and security while Wofford earned high marks for the school's "connection to nature" due to a high abundance of trees on campus and the institution's environmental studies program.
