SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford senior Brad Loesing has been named the Southern Conference’s Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today. This is Loesing’s second honor of the week as he was tabbed the SoCon’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Loesing registered a career-best 24 points in Wofford’s 61-50 win over Tulane last week while adding five assists and two steals. In the Terriers game against UVA-Wise, Loesing recorded 14 points, five rebounds and a steal.
The senior guard is third in the league in assists per game (5.4) and fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.9).
The Cincinnati native maintains a 3.89 GPA in business economics.
Other nominees included Georgia Southern women’s basketball player MiMi DuBose and Samford’s Paige Anderson.
