DAVIDSON, N.C. ? On Saturday, Dec. 9, the Davidson men’s and women’s basketball programs will host their cross-county rivals, the Charlotte 49ers, in the “Blackout Belk Arena” doubleheader. The women will tipoff at 5 p.m., with the men’s game scheduled for 7 p.m.

To black out Belk Arena, all fans are encouraged to wear black. “Blackout Belk Arena” T-shirts will be sold for $10 and will be available for purchase at the men's Southern Conference opener vs. Elon on Friday, Dec. 1, at the athletic merchandise stand, located in the northeast corner of Belk Arena.  T-shirts will also be available in the Athletic Ticket Office, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Davidson College Athletics is partnering with Our Towns Habitat for Humanity, specifically with the Davidson College Habitat chapter, on this special evening. Half of all T-shirt proceeds and $1 of each single-game ticket sale will help fund the Habitat “Wildcat” House, which is sponsored and built by the College chapter.
