<div class="payload-richtext">SPARTANBURG, SC – ETSU freshman Oli Blackadder was named Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for events played between March 4 through March 10. Blackadder (Aberdeen, Scotland) finished tied for eighth overall at the 41st Annual Louisiana Classic at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, LA. He fired consecutive rounds of 68 to begin the tournament and finished six under par over 54 holes. Blackadder recorded an eagle in each of the first two rounds and sank eight birdie putts for the tournament. His efforts helped lead ETSU to a fourth-place finish as a team, just three strokes behind second-place Arkansas Little Rock. Blackadder led the event with his two eagles and ranked second in total pars recorded (38). ETSU will head to the west coast on March 16 for the Pauma Valley Invitational in Pauma Valley, CA. Also Nominated: B.J. <div class="payload-richtext">SPARTANBURG, SC – Chattanooga junior Camden Braidech was named Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for events played between February 25-March 3. Braidech (Scottsdale, AZ / Home School) tied for third at the 2026 Colleton River Collegiate hosted by Michigan State in Bluffton, SC. He led the Mocs to a sixth-place finish in the team standings, shooting 72-67-71 (210) for a 6-under par score after 54 holes. All 15 teams in the tournament were ranked inside the national top 100. After a first round with two birdies, Braidech heated up over the next 18 holes, sinking five birdie putts to finish at 67, with no bogeys. <div class="payload-richtext">SPARTANBURG, SC – UNC Greensboro junior Kelvin Hernandez was named Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for events played between February 18-February 24. Hernandez (Caguas, Puerto Rico / The Palmas Academy) finished in a tie for seventh individually at the Dorado Beach Collegiate, played at the 7,192-yard (Par 72) Dorado Beach Resort & Club East course in Puerto Rico. After a first round 74, Hernandez responded with back-to-back rounds under par, shooting 4-under par combined over his final 36 holes. He sank five birdie putts in the second round and three more in the final round to finish only four strokes out of first place. Hernandez shot five strokes better than the field in the second round and four better than the field over the final 18 holes. The Golfer of the Week honor is Hernandez’ second in the past three weeks. Jones shot under par in all three rounds and closed to within one shot of medalist honors by the end of action Tuesday. <div class="payload-richtext">SPARTANBURG, SC – UNC Greensboro junior Kelvin Hernandez was named Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for events played between February 4-February 10. Hernandez (Caguas, Puerto Rico / The Palmas Academy) finished the 2026 Palmas del Mar Collegiate tournament in a tie for seventh individually and led UNCG to a team finish of fourth in a field that featured a pair of top-50 teams and six teams from Power 4 conferences. After shooting even par in the opening round, Hernandez rallied with back-to-back rounds of 69 to finish tied with TCU golfer Sam Udovich in seventh position – only seven strokes off the lead. Hernandez sank nine birdies and recorded an eagle over his final two days. Three of the golfers who finished in front of Hernandez are ranked inside the top-100 nationally. Jones carded a 66 in his final round at the 2026 Compadres Collegiate in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, to win by two strokes. The tournament was played on the 6,701-yard (Par 72) Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club course. Jones’ final round vaulted him from fifth place into the lead, with an eagle on the final hole breaking a late tie and delivering medalist honors. After recording pars on the first three holes he played in the final round, Jones caught fire, sinking birdie putts over three of his next four holes. He overcame a bogey with two more birdies to pull into a tie for the lead, then pushed ahead for good with his eagle to close out the tournament. Jones also eagled the final hole of his win at the JT Poston Invitational in his Catamount debut in September. <div class="payload-richtext">SPARTANBURG, SC – ETSU senior Yannick Malik was named SoCon Men’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played from October 29-November 4, marking the final award of the fall season. Malik (Munich, Germany) was the Bucs’ top individual at the 2025 Ka’anapali Classic by Outrigger, played on the 6,700-yard (Par 72) Royal Kaanapali Course in Lahaina, Hawaii. He finished in a tie for 18th in a loaded field, shooting 9-under par for the tournament – helping ETSU finish ninth in a tournament that featured four teams ranked inside the national top 50. Malik used three birdies in the opening round to card a 70, then heated up over the next 18 holes to record a 65. He sank seven birdies in the second round, including six of the first 11 holes, to power his effort. Malik shot a 69 on the final day, highlighted by two birdies and an eagle. His final combined score was the lowest of any ETSU golfer this fall. Malik finished his fall season with a solid 71.3 scoring average in 15 total rounds. Harris finished 12th individually, pacing the Mocs to a 10th place team finish in a loaded field that featured 13 teams ranked in the top 100 – including six ranked in the top 20. He shot 5-under par over 54 holes, firing a 68 in the opening round and following with rounds of 72 and 71 to finish only one stroke behind the trio of Dane Huddletston (Illinois), Lance Simpson (Tennessee), and Jonathan Griz (Alabama) in ninth place. Harris sank seven birdie putts in the opening round, which included a 32 on the front nine. He finished the tournament with 14 birdies, beat the field scoring average by more than four strokes over the opening 18 holes and outpaced the field average in each of his final two rounds. Harris scored lower than nine players ranked in the top 100 of the world amateur golf rankings, including two players ranked in the top 20. Harris’ effort saw him establish new personal bests for 18-hole and 36-hole scoring and tie his previous best over 54 holes. <div class="payload-richtext">SPARTANBURG, SC – Furman senior Harris Barth was named SoCon Men’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played October 1 to October 8, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon. Barth (Atlanta, GA / Westminster School) earned his second SoCon honor in the past three weeks after finishing in a tie for sixth at the 2025 Trinity Forest Invitational hosted by SMU. The tournament was played at the 7,167-yard (Par 72) Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. Barth shot a three-round score of 207, carding a 71 in the opening round, and back-to-back rounds of 68 to finish strong. He was steady in the second round with six birdies and caught fire in the final round with eight birdies – including five on the front nine. Barth finished only five strokes off the lead and one stroke out of fifth place. He beat the third-round scoring average for the field by nearly five strokes. He recorded 17 birdies for the tournament, which ranked sixth among all golfers. Korytoski (Cataula, GA / Harris County HS) finished third at the 2025 Nemacolin Intercollegiate in Farmington, PA, just three shots out of first place. The tournament was played on the Par-72, 7,526-yard Mystic Rock Golf Course. Korytoski’s effort helped the Catamounts to a second-place finish as a team, just ahead of Seton Hall and James Madison and behind host West Virginia. Korytoski recovered from an even par 72 in the opening round, firing back-to-back 68s to climb into contention. In the final round, Korytoski was red hot on the back nine, carding five birdies to finish on the podium. The finish was the highest of Korytoski’s career, and the three-round score (208) was the best of his career. The Catamounts will take a brief break before heading to Burlington, NC, on October 13 for the Elon Invitational. Against a field that included 11 schools from Power 4 conferences, Barth came out of the gate on fire in the final round to extend his lead after a shotgun start on Hole 16. He birdied three of his first four holes, sank an eagle putt on No. 4, and made par on 10 of the final 11 holes, winning the event by three strokes over Arkansas golfer John Daly II.  Barth was flawless in the opening round, making four birdies to card a 67 to move atop the leaderboard. He remained in first place after the second round as well. Barth beat the course rating at Coldwater Country Club (74.8) by an average of 6.8 strokes per round in a steady performance.  </a> (Jacksonville, NC / Jacksonville HS) played in his first tournament with the Catamounts after transferring from Charlotte this past offseason and was terrific. He finished third overall at the 2025 Golfweek Fall Challenge, carding a score of 11-under par for the tournament. Playing on the 7,013-yard (Par 72) True Blue course in Pawley’s Island, SC, Jones opened on a tear, posting six birdies in the first round to pace the field with a 66. He birdied three of the first four holes and finished at 4-under par on the front nine. He followed with a solid 70 on the second day and finished with a 69 in the final round. Jones led the tournament in Par 5 scoring (4.33) and finished fifth in the field with 15 birdies. His three-day score of 205 tied Jones for the seventh-best tournament scoring effort in Western Carolina history. Western Carolina finished fifth at the Golfweek Fall Challenge, just three strokes behind fourth-place Nevada, and two strokes ahead of Central Arkansas and Tennessee Tech. <div class="payload-richtext">SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU senior Kristian Bressum has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Golf Player of the Year, while UNCG’s Jake Lewis have been named the SoCon Freshman of the Year in voting conducted by the league’s eight head coaches. Furman’s Matt Davidson was voted the league’s Coach of the Year.The league also named a 10-member all-conference team and a five-member all-freshman team, which was voted on by the coaches, who could not vote for their own players or themselves.Bressum, who is the top ranked SoCon golfer nationally, finished with a stroke average of 70.9, which is tied for first in the league. The senior was the SoCon Player of the Week three times this season, with those recognitions coming on Oct. 2, Nov. 6 and March 5. The native of Randers, Denmark, posted five top-10 finishes, with his best finish coming at the Colleton River Collegiate in March where he finished second. In head-to-head matchups, Bressum grabbed four wins over top-25 opponents, including a win over former Buc and current LSU golfer Algot Kleen, who is ranked 10th. Bressum’s player of the year win marks the 17th time a Buccaneer has received the honor.Lewis is the seventh UNCG golfer overall to win SoCon Freshman of the Year. This is the second consecutive year the Spartans have had the recipient of the honor as Kelvin Hernandez was the winner in 2024. The first-year player from Cary, North Carolina, had a 72.4 stroke average, which is ninth amongst SoCon golfers. Lewis, who was named SoCon Golfer of the Week on March 19 and April 2, finished in the top 15 at seven different tournaments during his freshman campaign.Davidson earned his second SoCon Coach of the Year honor, the first coming in 2023, and Furman’s 12th overall. The seventh-year coach, who was the SoCon Player of the Year in 2002, guided the Paladins to top-10 finishes in all 11 tournaments this season, including five top-five finishes. Furman’s highest finish came in October at the Furman Intercollegiate, when the team was the runner-up to 12th-ranked Texas A&M, falling by just two strokes. Davidson led the Paladins to the conference’s top ranking in the Clippd rankings as the team is ranked No. 65 nationally.Furman and Chattanooga each claimed a SoCon-best three All-SoCon selections. The Paladins were represented by juniors Clark Akers and Harris Barth along with senior Will Morlan. Barth received his second consecutive all-conference selection this season. <div class="payload-richtext">GREENSBORO, Ga. – ETSU clinched the 2025 Southern Conference Men’s Golf Championship on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,393-yard Oconee Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia. UNCG’s Colin Dutton was the medalist at the event, shooting a 10-under 206 for the tournament.The Buccaneers entered the day tied with UNCG at 14-under-par. ETSU had the tournament’s best team score for a round during the final, shooting a 14-under 274 to finish the event with a score of 836 (-28). The Bucs were able to build their lead to double digits on the front nine, thanks to 11 birdies and two eagles. ETSU stayed steady on the back nine, cruising to its fifth straight tournament win. The victory marks the second time the program has won five straight championships, with the other occurrence happening between 1979-83.UNCG finished as the runner-up with a tournament score of 18-under 846. The Spartans shot 277 in the first round, 285 in the second round and 284 in the final round.Western Carolina finished third after shooting a 4-under 284 in the final round, completing the tournament at 14-under 850. Chattanooga concluded the event in fourth at 12-under 852 and Furman was fifth at 6-under 858. Samford (861), Wofford (865) and Mercer (868) rounded out the scoring at sixth, seventh and eighth place, respectively.Dutton is the third Spartan to finish first at the SoCon championship, joining Nick Lyerly in 2018 and J.D.
