Saturday's men's basketball roundup

ETSU 70, The Citadel 52

ETSU - When ETSU holds the opposition to 30 points or less in the first half it typically equates to a victory.
 
On Saturday, the trend continued.
 
ETSU held The Citadel to 22 first-half points and the Buccaneers cruised to a 70-52 victory over the Bulldogs inside Freedom Hall.

CIT - The Citadel basketball team lost to the East Tennessee State University Buccaneers on Saturday afternoon.
Cam Glover registered his second straight double-digit point contest with 13 points while Brody Fox and John Adams added 10 each.

Samford 76, UNCG 69

SAM - The Samford men's basketball team played in one of its biggest games of the season tonight as they hosted North Carolina - Greensboro at the Pete Hanna Center. The matchup between the two lone unbeaten teams in the Southern Conference was a physical affair that went the way of the Bulldogs 76-69. Samford moves to 14-3 overall with the win and now tops the SoCon with a 4-0 record while the Spartans fall to 10-7 on the year.

UNCG - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball team dropped a close battle to Samford, 76-69, in The Southern Conference (SoCon) action on Saturday evening at the Pete Hanna Center.  
 
Donovan Atwell paced the Spartans with 19 points and Kenyon Giles was second with 12 points.
