ETSU’s Taylor named SoCon Player of the Week
Guard records fourth triple-double in program history
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU guard Brian Taylor II has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for all contests from Nov. 24-30. The award is selected by the league office.
Taylor II had 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in ETSU’s 80-57 over Central Arkansas on Nov. 29. The senior’s rebound and assist numbers in the game marked career highs. Taylor II also had four steals and was 2-for-2 from the charity stripe in the contest as well. The St. Louis, Missouri, native’s performance logged the fourth triple-double in program history, joining Tim Smith, Courtney Pigram and Jaden Seymour as the only Bucs to accomplish the feat.
ETSU (6-1), who is on a five-game winning streak, travels to Dayton on Tuesday. The Buccaneers return home for games against South Alabama on Dec. 5, and Tusculum on Dec. 7.
