Lady Mocs Find Favor with Bulldogs

Bryn Favor drove in five runs and Chattanooga pitchers gave up just two hits in two games to power the Lady Mocs to a softball sweep, 3-0 and 9-1, over Tennessee Wesleyan College Thursday night at Frost Stadium.

Favor doubled her RBI total for the season after delivering a two-run single in the first game, a two-run single in the second game and a RBI double in the second game. She was 3-for-6 at the plate on the night.

Chattanooga (26-20) struggled offensively in the opening game and finally broke through with its first run without the benefit of a hit. Two walks and an error loaded the bases for UTC in the fourth and Stefani Thomas drew a RBI walk to break the deadlock. Favor then followed with her sharp single up the middle.
