Jacksonville State Wins Cougar Invitational
(March 9)

Mt. Pleasant, SC The College of Charleston, Northern Illinois and Jacksonville State finished the Cougar Softball Invitational with undefeated records but it was the Gamecocks that won on runs allowed to take the tournament title, held this past weekend at Patriots Point and the Jones Center, over the Cougars and Huskies.

Jacksonville State allowed only one run during the tournament, while the Cougars allowed two runs, both which came in the seventh inning against Toledo in the last game of the day, to take runner-up honors.

The Cougars host Northern Illinois Mar. 11th in a 6:00 pm doubleheader at Patriots Point before taking on Tennessee Tech, Mar. 13th at 2:00 pm.
