SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s Remi Chartier has been selected as the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from Sept. 20-26. The selection is made by the league office.
 
Chartier, who played as an individual, won the JT Poston Invitational in Sapphire, North Carolina, which wrapped play Tuesday. The graduate student posted rounds of 65-69-65 for a tournament score of 199 (-14), which tied the tournament record set in 2019. The native of Montreal, Canada, led the field with 18 birdies, with eight of those coming in the final round en route to earning a five-shot victory. Chartier’s triumph was the second individual win of his Buccaneer career, with the first coming at the 2022 SoCon Championship.
 
ETSU plays their next tournament in Jonesborough, Tennessee, at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate on Oct. 8-10.
