SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman’s Will Morlan has been selected as the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 22-28. The selection is made by the league office.
 
Morlan won the Hootie at Bulls Bay, which wrapped Tuesday. The native of Alpharetta, Georgia, posted rounds of 67-67-64 for a tournament score of 18-under-par 198. Morlan’s performance set a 54-hole school and tournament record and marked the third time this season that the sophomore grabbed an individual win, making him the first Paladin to have three individual wins since Brad Faxon in 1983.
 
Furman finished 10th in the 15-team, 81-golfer Hootie at Bulls Bay. The Paladins shot 285 in the first round, 281 in the second round and 287 in the final round for a tournament score of 11-under-par 853.
 
The Paladins will be back in action on April 10-12 at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee.
