SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Chattanooga’s Paul Conroy has been selected as the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from Oct. 18-24. The selection is made by the league office.
 
Conroy, who received the honor on Sept. 20 as well, won the Furman Intercollegiate in Greenville, South Carolina, which wrapped play on Monday. The Enniscorthy, Ireland, native posted rounds of 70-64-71 for a tournament score of 205 (-8). The senior led the tournament field in par-4 scoring (-4) and scored par or better on 50 of 54 holes played.
 
Chattanooga finished second at the Furman Intercollegiate in the 15-team, 90-golfer field, with a 19-under-par 833 performance. The Mocs shot 277 in the first round, 272 in the second round and 284 in the final round.
 
The Mocs play their next tournament in Loxley, Alabama at the Steelwood Collegiate on Oct. 28-29.
