Chartier and Davies Earn PING All-Region Honors

Pair of Bucs earn honors ahead of third round of NCAA Championship

NORMAN, Okla. – With the third round of the NCAA Championship on the horizon, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced the PING All-Region Honors across the six regions. ETSU’s Remi Chartier (Montreal, Canada) and Archie Davies (Carlisle, England) earned spots on the East All-Region Team.

Davies has turned in quite the resumé ahead of the 2022 NCAA Championship, earning his second consecutive appearance on the PING East All-Region Team. The Welsh International golfer was averaging 70.33 strokes per round through 33 rounds played heading into the national championship event. During the season, Davies recorded seven Top-10 finishes in 11 events, including winning the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate. Davies’ 70.33 stroke average ranks second in program history. The England native is also tied for the fourth-most par-or-better rounds in a single season with 27. Davies earned a spot on the All-SoCon team and was also selected to the International Palmer Cup Team on April 19.

Chartier landed on the PING East All-Region Team for the first time in his collegiate career. The Canada product was named to the All-SoCon team and laid claim to the 2022 SoCon individualist honors, winning the event with a score of 18-under-par. Ahead of this week’s national championship event, Chartier was averaging 70.87 strokes per round in 30 rounds of action, securing four Top-10 finishes this season. In the SoCon Championship, Chartier tied a program record for the lowest round with a 63 (-9) in the second round, leading to a lopsided individual win. Chartier’s 70.87 stroke average currently ranks seventh in a single season in program history.
