TOKYO, Japan – Wednesday will mark another marquee debut for former ETSU men’s golfer Adrian Meronk. The Poland native will be making his Olympic debut in Tokyo, Japan, teeing off the 2020 Olympics at 8:14 p.m. (ET) at Kasumigaseki East Course.

Meronk, ranked 45th in the field, will be competing alongside K.K. Johannessen (Norway) and Gunn Charoenkul (Thailand) for the first two rounds. The trio’s second-round tee time is set for 10:09 p.m. (ET) on Thursday. The ETSU alumnus is the first-ever Polish golfer to compete in the Olympics, while marking the second consecutive Olympic golf field that will feature a Buccaneer. Seamus Power competed in the 2016 Rio Olympics, finishing tied for 15th.
The event will be covered on the Golf Channel from 6:30 p.m. – 3:30 a.m. (ET), Wednesday-Saturday.
Meronk played for ETSU from 2012-16 under former head coach Fred Warren. Meronk was a four-time all-conference golfer and a two-time PING All-American (2015 & 2016). The former Buccaneer was a two-time SoCon Player of the Year and claimed the 2016 SoCon Championship medalist honors. Meronk ranks second in ETSU history in career wins (five) and career rounds of par or better (82).
