Davies posts second round under par in European Tour debut

Rising sophomore concludes play at Cazoo Open on Sunday

NEWPORT, Wales – The third round is in the books in the European Tour debut for Archie Davies at the 2021 Cazoo Open in Newport, Wales. Davies who narrowly made the cut, carded his second round under par for the event, moving up the leaderboard into a tie for 54th.
 
Davies began the day with three consecutive pars before posting a birdie on the fourth hole, similar to his start in round two. The returning redshirt sophomore then dropped the shot on the par-3 seventh hole, making the turn at even-par (36).
 
Davies kept up the consistent play with two birdies and four pars in the first seven holes on the back nine to jump to 2-under-par. The Carlisle, England, product concluded his third round with a bogey on the final hole to cap off a 1-under-par (70) during his Saturday round.
 
Davies will be back in action at 6:05 a.m. (ET) in the final round at The Celtic Manor Resort on Sunday.
