NORMAN, Okla. – Former ETSU men’s golfer Shiso Go has been tabbed to the PING All-American honorable mention squad on Monday afternoon. This is the first All-American nod for the Kanagawa, Japan, native during his collegiate career. Go represents the 38th overall All-American in ETSU history and second in as many seasons for head coach Jake Amos.

“I’m delighted that Shiso will end his career at ETSU as an All-American,” stated Amos. “He will go down as one of the best to have ever played at ETSU. He was a model student-athlete and his career over the last four years has been incredible. He got better every single year and finally got the recognition he deserves.”
The All-American recognition comes on the heels of earning a spot on the PING Division I East All-Region team for the second consecutive season. Go also earned All-SoCon recognitions for the third time in his playing career. Go appeared in all 11 tournaments for the Bucs this season, playing a total of 32 rounds with an average of 73.2 strokes per round. Go claimed his third career victory with a podium finish at the NCAA Cle Elum Regional following a final-round score of 67 (-4), becoming the first Buccaneer since Rhys Enoch (2010) to win individual medalist honors at an NCAA regional.
The former Buccaneer captured the regional victory by one stroke, also fending off fellow teammate Archie Davies by two strokes, lifting ETSU to its first NCAA Regional victory since 2001. Go carded 13 rounds of par or better on the season, including six rounds in the 60s.
Go concluded his ETSU playing career third all-time in scoring average (72.33), while placing sixth in career wins with three.
