SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Detroit Mercy’s Kaitlyn Wandelt and Wofford’s Elisabeth Ralph have been named the Southern Conference women’s lacrosse offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, for all competition Feb. 12-18.

A redshirt junior midfielder from Sayville, New York, Wandelt led Detroit Mercy with four goals, five ground balls and nine draw controls against Marquette on Sunday. Her nine draw controls were one shy of the single-game Titan school record.

Ralph, a native of Hillsdale, New Jersey, was named the defensive player of the week. She caused three turnovers, winning three draw controls and picking up three groundballs in the Terriers season opening win against Presbyterian. On the offensive side, the freshman scored two goals on six shots. 

The Titans are home on Tuesday against Butler for their season home opener, while the Terriers travel to Buies Creek, North Carolina, to take on Campbell on Saturday.
