SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – Wofford's Andrew Novak was one of 25 NCAA Division I golfers named to the PING All-East Region Team. Players across the Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West regions earned all-region honors for 2017.

This is the second consecutive season the native of Mount Pleasant, S.C., has been placed on the East team.

The 2017 SoCon Golfer of the Year, the program's first ever, holds the program record for career wins (four), tournament score in relation to par (-13) and the second-lowest round in school history (65). Novak is the only Wofford golfer to qualify for regionals twice, as he tied for 24th this season in the College Grove Regional and tied for 17th with rounds of 73, 73 and 72 in the Tuscaloosa regional last season.

Novak's professional career begins this week as he competes on PGA Canada's McKenzie Tour in this week's event, The Freedom 55 Financial Open. The tournament is held May 29-June 4 at Point Grey Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, British Columbia.
