SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU senior Mateusz Gradecki has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 30 to April 5. The award is selected by the league office.

Gradecki tied for seventh out of 78 players at the Mason Rudolph Invitational over the weekend, shooting an even-par 213. After opening with a 2-over-par 73, Gradecki moved back to even with a 2-under 69. He finished the tournament with an even-par 71 on Sunday.

The top-10 finish was the second of Gradecki’s career. He shot par or better on 45 of his 54 holes on the weekend.

ETSU finished sixth in the 14-team field, which featured nine top-100 teams, including three ranked in the top 10. There were 10 top-50 players in the field, with Gradecki finishing ahead of half of them.

ETSU returns to action at the Greenbrier Collegiate Invitational at The Old White TPC at Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., on Monday and Tuesday.

Also nominated: Wehman Hopke (Furman), Zach Hughes (Samford), Wes Gosselin (Chattanooga) and Jeremy Grab (Wofford).
