SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU senior Adrian Meronk has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 16-22. The award, Meronk’s second straight, is selected by the league office.

Meronk tied for third at the Airstream Adventures Northwest Classic on Monday and Tuesday, turning in a 5-under-par 211. The Wroclaw, Poland, native opened with a 4-under 64 and added a 2-under 70 to sit tied for the lead after 36 holes. He finished his tournament with a 1-over 73 for his 211, helping the Bucs to a fourth-place team finish.

The 15-team, 87-golfer field featured four teams ranked in the top 60 and three players in the top 50, one of whom was Meronk, who is now ranked No. 17 nationally.

The top-10 finish was the seventh straight for Meronk, the reigning SoCon Player of the Year, and the 19th of his career.

The weekly honor was Meronk’s third since the Bucs joined the SoCon prior to last season.

ETSU returns to action April 2-3 at the Mason Rudolph Invitational at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.

Also nominated: Josh Stockwell (UNCG), Zach Hughes (Samford) and Tyler Lail (Western Carolina).
