CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Liam Johnston took his turn going low for the Chattanooga Mocs, torching the Farm with a 6-under-par 66 in the second round of the Carpet Capital Collegiate on Saturday. His performance, which tied Stephan Jaeger’s school record in the event in 2009, led the Mocs to a team-best 282 (-6) at the prestigious event.
The round came one day after teammate Andrew Weathers carded a 5-under par 67 in the opening round.
The 66 is a career collegiate low for Johnston. The Scot had an eagle, five birdies and just a single bogey on the day.
