DALLAS – College of
Charleston men’s golf alum Seth Stuart advanced to the first stage of PGA tour
qualifying school as he competed in a 54-hole pre-qualifier at the Golf Club of
Dallas last week.
Stuart, who completed his eligibility
last spring, carded rounds of 67-70-71 as he posted a three-round total of two
under par to finish 13th, with the top 38 advancing to the first
stage of qualifying school, which takes place on 13 golf courses from
Oct. 16-27.
“I’m thrilled for Seth and proud of
him for this accomplishment,” CofC men’s golf coach Mark McEntire said. “He
worked very hard in his time at the College of Charleston and I wish him the
best as he goes for his dream of playing professional golf.”
