SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Samford junior Casey O'Toole has been selected as the Southern Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for all competition from April 4-10.
O'Toole earned an eighth-place finish at the 24th Annual Coca-Cola Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C., on Tuesday after he carded a team-best 67 in the final round of play at the 18-team competition. The Oneonta, Ala., native was the top finisher among the five SoCon schools competing in the event hosted by Wofford.
All 11 SoCon teams will be in action starting Sunday, April 15 at the 2012 Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship in Daniel Island, S.C. The three-day, 54-hole event tees off at 8 a.m. EDT on Sunday morning at the Ralston Creek Course.
