SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Wofford junior Mark Joye has been selected as the Southern Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 14-20.
Joye's 54-hole round of 210 (-6) placed him sixth at the Furman Intercollegiate over the weekend. He was the highest SoCon player in the standings. It also gave the Terriers their best finish of the season at 860, which was good enough for a tie for third place in the field of 21 teams.
The three-round total was the lowest 54-hole team score Wofford has carded in more than four years.
Other Nominees: Josh Nichols (Appalachian State), Shane Rogan (College of Charleston), Will Evans (Georgia Southern), Bill Nabors (Samford), Stephan Jaeger (Chattanooga) and J.T. Poston (Western Carolina).
