CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Chattanooga Mocs rising senior Stephan Jaeger (Munich, Germany) is headed to the 2011 United States Amateur qualifying Monday at the TPC Southwind in Memphis. He's the first Mocs golfer to make the field since Jonathan Hodge in 2007.

Jaeger shot rounds of 67 and 70 to claim on of three spots from the Memphis field. His 137 total was two behind Jonathan Fly and three clear of Steve Lee. John Burch and Anthony Paolucci are the alternates at 142.

The U.S. Am will be played on two courses in Erin, Wisc., northwest of Milwaukee. The main course is Erin Hills Country Club, while Blue Mound Golf and Country Club will be utilized during the medal play qualification rounds.

Erin Hills is a mammoth layout to record specifications for the amateur. EHCC will play to 7,760 yards at a par of 72 which surpasses the 7,742 yards played at Chambers Bay near Tacoma, Wash., last year. Blue Mound plays to par 70 at 6,622 yards.

The event starts with 18 holes of stroke play on August 22 followed by another on the 23rd to establish the 64-person match play field. Six rounds of match play begin on August 24 culminating the 36-hole final match on Sunday, August 28.

Television coverage is provided by the Golf Channel and NBC starting on August 24. The Golf Channel will broadcast the first three days of match play - Wednesday through Friday - from 3-5 p.m., on the 24th and from 1-3 p.m., on the 25th and 26th. NBC takes over on the weekend from 4-6 p.m., on both Saturday and Sunday.
