SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Chattanooga junior Stephan Jaeger has been selected as the Southern Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 30 - April 5.
With the honor, Jaeger becomes the first SoCon golfer to earn the league's weekly award three times in a row since Furman's Kirk Satterfield did so in 2001.
The junior led wire-to-wire to earn his first collegiate medalist honors as the only player in the field to break par for 54 holes with a total score of 7-under 209. The native of Munich, Germany, strung together rounds of two-under par 70, five-under 67 and even par-72 to give himself a seven-stroke cushion over the nearest competitor.
As a team, UTC defeated No. 12 Iowa and finished one shot in arrears of No. 9 LSU.
Another top performer this week was UNCG's Colin Chapman.
