MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Daniel Walsh shot a two-under 70 on Sunday to rank third after one round at Appalachian State University men's golf's Barefoot at the Beach Challenge. The Mountaineers rank 10th as a team at 310 (+22) with 36 holes to play on Monday and Tuesday.

Freshman Casey Komline carded a 74 (+2) to tie for 20th place while Drew Harris and Josh Nichols finished the day two strokes back in 35th place.

Darren Cook shot a 77 (+5) to tie for 41st place, one stroke ahead of senior Colin Hobbs.

Jay Brown and Dustin Hudson tied in 51st place at 79 (+7) and Web Grubb stands 73rd at 88 (+16).

Kennesaw State leads the team standings at 284 (-4), five strokes ahead of Gardner-Webb. KSU's Matt Nagy leads all individuals at 67 (-5), while Stetson's Gabe Costa is two strokes back in second place.

Monday's second round tees off beginning at 8:14 a.m. at Myrtle Beach's The Surf Golf and Beach Club.
