Chattanooga won the Cleveland Golf/Palmetto Intercollegiate this season, its 14th win in Mark Guhne's fifth year as head coach. The Mocs finished second three times including at the prestigious Carpet Capital Collegiate Classic.
UTC has a 1,583-stroke advantage over its opponents in 2009-10. The team is 14-11 against SEC foes and 12-10-1 against the ACC. STATESBORO, Ga. ? As announced by the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Committee Monday evening, the Georgia Southern men’s golf team garnered its second consecutive invitation into NCAA postseason play. The field will be a challenge, but we still have our best golf in front of us. Three new faces to NCAA play will make the trip representing Georgia Southern and we are excited about this opportunity.”
Six sites will host 54-hole regional tournaments, May 20-22, with the Eagles placed in the NCAA Atlanta Regional in Alpharetta, Georgia. The Eagles’ postseason invitation marks the second consecutive and eighth bid in 10 years.
