Freshman earned first career title at Pinehurst

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? UNC Greensboro freshman Robert Hoadley has been selected as the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 10-16.

The Southern Pines, N.C., native celebrated a Homecoming of sorts by winning the Pinehurst Intercollegiate on Sunday. Hoadley carded rounds of 70, 72 and 71 to win the tourney by one shot over Virginia Tech's Mikey Moyers. Hoadley’s previous best finish had been a tie for 15th place at the VCU shootout.

Hoadley's first place standing helped UNCG into a tie for third in the team standings at 887.
