Cougar Men's Golf Second After Two Rounds of CSU Spring Kick Off
Charleston, S.C. - Harrison Moore is tied for third with a one-over par and is leading the College of Charleston men's golf team to second out of 12 teams after the second round of the Charleston Southern Spring Kick Off Tournament being held April 6-7 at the Coosaw Creek Country Club in Charleston, S.C. Campbell is in first with a 585, just nine strokes ahead of the Cougars.
Charleston shot a tournament-low 285 in the first round and a 309 in the second for its 594, which is seven strokes ahead of third-place and host Charleston Southern.
Bethune Cookman's Daniel Venema leads for individual medalist honors with a 141. Camel Vaita Guillaume is in second with a 142 and tied for third is Moore and Fairfield's R.J. Zielinski with a 143 each.
Following Moore is Cougar Tim Tang who is tied for 11th with a 148. Cabe Prieskorn is tied for 15th with a 149 and tied for 33rd is Soonam Kim with his 154 in two rounds. Ross Tooley is tied for 37th with a 156.
Charleston tees off Tuesday in the morning in third and final round action.
LSU leads, UNCG eighth with two in contention at Reunion
MADISON, MS ? UNC Greensboro's Will Almand and Kyle Sonday are both in the Top 10 to lead UNCG to an eighth place standing after two rounds at The Reunion men’s golf tournament.
Sonday carded a round of 72 on Monday morning and was in second place as the second round begin, one shot off the lead. However, a second round 79 dropped him back to eighth place, eight shots off the pace. Almand carded rounds of 75 and 76 to also sit at 151 and tied for eighth place.
Adam Hoffman of Vanderbilt held on to hold the clubhouse lead. He carded rounds of 71 and 72 to hold a one shot lead over Arkansas’ Andrew Landry.
The Spartans are tied for eighth place as a team with a score of 621 in blustery conditions on Monday. LSU holds the team lead at 596, three shots ahead of Arkansas.
The final round gets underway at 8 am CT with tee times off Nos. 1 and 10.
