ETOWAH, N.C. - Southern Conference Commissioner John Iamarino was on hand Saturday, June 7 as golfing legend Arnold Palmer opened his Golf Academy at Seven Falls Golf and River Club.

Located in Etowah, N.C., the state-of-the-art facility allows members a variety of opportunities to improve their game. The academy is situated on 60 acres and features a short nine-hole course, covered hitting bays, 3-D motion analysis and Trackman Launch Monitor. The Southern Conference will be involved with Seven Falls at the Academy in assisting them with program development and support.

Seven Falls is North Carolina’s only private golf and river club and is in the process of adding an 18-hole Arnold Palmer signature course that will play host to the 2010 Men's SoCon Golf Championships.
