Chattanooga Continues to Lead Men's Golf Championship After Day Two

Florence, S.C. ? Four Mocs turned in under par scores in the second round to help Chattanooga hold the lead at the 2007 Men’s Golf Championship at the Country Club of South Carolina in Florence, S.C. on Monday afternoon. 

 

Chattanooga shot a 280 on day two for a 573 total while defending champion Georgia Southern moved up to the two spot after turning in a 284. Elon and Wofford are tied at third with a 588 two-day total.

 

Chattanooga’s Jonathan Hodge and Davidson’s Alex Knoll are tied for first after two rounds with a 142 total.  Hodge, Elon’s Jayson Judy and Georgia Southern’s Drew Lethem all carded a low-round 69 on day two.  Judy and Lethem are tied for fourth with Georgia Southern’s Jordan Johnstun.  Western Carolina’s Andres Cuenca remained in third place and is one stroke behind the leaders with a 143.

 

The final round of the championship will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24.
