AIKEN, SC - The Furman men's golf team fired a final round 308 to finish eighth at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C., Tuesday morning.

Garrett Schneider paced the Paladins (289-293-308=890) in the final of three rounds with a four-over par 75 while Garland Ferrell and Jordan Felts each posted a six-over 77. Ferrell (70-74-77=221) finished at eight-over par in the 54-hole event to claim 21st place.

Houston and host USC Aiken tied for team honors with three-round totals of 869. The Cougars' Jordan Irwin (70-71-71=212) finished one stroke under par after firing an even-par 71 on Tuesday to claim medalist honors.

The Paladins will host the Furman Intercollegiate March 24-26, at the Furman University Golf Course.

AIKEN, SC - Tucker Ervin shot a 70 in the first round and a 72 the third to finish tied for fourth as the College of Charleston men's golf team placed fourth after the final round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate held this week at the Palmetto Golf Club.

USC Aiken, which was fifth after the second round, shot a 285 today to share the tournament title with Houston with an 869 total. Houston's Jordan Irwin won medalist honors with a three-round total of 212. VCU, which led for much of the tournament, finished third with an 873

Following Ervin's 216 and fourth place was Dustin Barr, who shot a 218 to tie for 11th. Tim Tang tied for 22nd with a 222 and tied for 34th was Gari Maton with a 226. Scott Larkin tied for 46 with his 231 in 54 holes.
