UNCG'S ANDY BARE CLAIMS A SHARE OF THE CROWN AT THE BRADFORD CREEK INTERCOLLEGIATE

GREENVILLE, NC?UNCG senior Andy Bare fired a final round four-under-par 68 for a 54-hole total of 205, to claim a share of the individual crown of the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate, hosted by East Carolina University.

Bare?s three-round total of 205, breaks the UNCG school record of 207, previously held by Kevin Cartmill at the Stetson Intercollegiate during the 1995-96 season.

Campbell claimed the team crown with a three-round total of 852, six shots ahead of UNC Wilmington (858). Georgetown and Coastal Carolina tied for third at 870.

The UNCG men?s golf team will compete in the Wofford Invitational on April 9-10 in Spartanburg, SC.



GSU 11th After First Round Of Cleveland Golf/ASU Invitational

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Georgia Southern golf team fired a seven-over par
295 and currently stands in 11th place after one round of play at the
27th Annual Cleveland Golf/Augusta State Invitational.

The second round was suspended at 7:00 p.m. due to darkness and will
resume at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Once the second round is completed,
teams will be re-paired based on their standing and tee times will be
assigned.

The third round will begin with teams 1-9 teeing on No. 1 and teams
10-18 teeing off on No. 10.

The 27th Annual Cleveland Golf/Augusta State Invitational is being
played at the par-72, 7,231-yard Forest Hills Golf Club.
