Cougars Finish 11th at Atlanta Intercollegiate, Ervin Places 12th

The College of Charleston mens golf team finished in 11th place in the Atlanta Intercollegiate held at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga. The Cougars shot 305 in the final round for a 54-hole total of 888.

Tucker Ervin led the way individually for the Cougars placing 12th with a 213 total and a third round 71. Kellen Altman finished in a tie for 24th with a 54 total of 217 including a third round 76. Dustin Barr and Joe Morton finished tied for 51st and 56th respectively and Wesley Carter placed 63rd.

Florida won the team title at the event firing 839 for the week and finished 14 shots ahead of South Carolina. The Gators finished first and second on the individual side with Camilo Villegas taking the medalist honors at 204 (69-68-67).

The Cougars travel to Opelika, Alabama to take part in the Billy Hitchcock Invitational on April 9th-11th. The Southern Conference tournament is slated for April 15-17 in Johnson City, Tenn.
