Cougars In Ninth Place After Day One of Atlanta Intercollegiate

The College of Charleston mens golf team sits in ninth place after one of the Atlanta Intercollegiate held at the Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga. The Cougars followed up a first round 293 with a 290 in the second round for a 583 total through 36 holes.



Kellen Altman shot a two under par 70 in the second round and is three under for the tournament at 141 which ties him for 10th individually. Tucker Ervin fired a team best 69 in the afternoon round and is tied for 16th at 142. Dustin Barr is tied for 22nd after a second round 73 to go along with a first round 71 and a 144 day one total. Joe Morton shot a pair of 78s and is tied for 60th.



The University of Florida used a second round team total of 276 to take a 10 shot lead over second place Clemson after day one. The Tigers Jack Ferguson holds the individual lead after shooting a tournament record 65 in the afternoon round.



The final round of the tournament will start on Tuesday morning at 8 am. Final results will be available at www.cougars.cofc.edu following the completion of the event. The Cougars next travel to the Billy Hitchcock Invitational in Opelika, AL on April 9-11.
