CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Davidson men's golf team recorded its fourth consecutive top five finish with a third place showing a the Charleston Southern Fall Invitational at Coosaw Creek Country Club. The Wildcats shot a 585 (292-293) on the par-71 course, just three strokes out of second place. Sophomores Tim Dillon and Christian Davis were once again among the top-20 individuals.
In the 15-team field, The Citadel took the tournament crown after carding a 577 36-hole total. Shooting a 582, host Charleston Southern earned second place. Tennessee State's Robert Dinwiddie took home the individual title behind rounds of 67 and 71.
Dillon led the way for the Wildcats, finishing the tournament in a tie for sixth place with a 143 (71-72) on the 6,518-yard course. Dillon has finished in the top 15 in the last four competitions. Davis lived up to his SoCon Golfer of the Month honors, carding a 147 (73-74) in a tie for 18th place.
Junior Dan Walker carded a 150 (71-79) and teammate Peyton Gallagher shot a 154 (77-77).
This was the final tournament of the fall season for the Wildcats.
