Price Wins Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions

KNOXVILLE, TENN.- Junior Aron Price fired a final round 68 to win the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions at Holston Hills Country Club for his third tournament title in four chances this season. As a team, Georgia Southern placed third.

Price, ranked sixth in the nation by Golfweek, scored a 203 (69-66-68) to finish at -13, two strokes ahead of Virginia's Jermey Luce.


Freshman Bryan Jones finished tied for 11th with a three-round total of 213, while 18th-ranked Toshi Hirata posted a 222. Jon David Kennedy added a 224 and Chase Jones scored a 226.


Georgia Southern's total of 858 (-6) placed the Eagles third behind team champion Vanderbilt and host team Tennessee.


Georgia Southern concludes its fall season next week, playing in the Country Club of Louisiana Classic in Baton Rouge.
