The Citadel Freshmen Best In The Nation

Charleston, SC --- Golfstat, the statistical company for the NCAA/NAIA golf programs, has ranked The Citadel freshman class in the top spot of the top 25 freshman class impact rankings.

The report released on October 11, 2002 finds the Bulldogs ahead of some hefty competition. To name a few the University of Florida, Kansas, Duke, Iowa State, Georgia, Miami (Ohio), UCLA, Oregon and Notre Dame. Two other Southern Conference schools have made the list. Davidson and UNC Greensboro are slotted at 14th and 17th respectively. Full results can be viewed at www.Golfstat.com.

The Bulldogs will be swinging the clubs again at the Pirate Fall Intercollegiate on October 20-22 in Greenville, NC.
