The Citadel's Ruffin Selected as AVCA East Coast All-Region Honorable Mention
SoCon Player of the Year becomes the second player from The Citadel recognized by the AVCA
LEXINGTON, KY. – The Citadel's Ali Ruffin has been selected as the AVCA East Coast All-Region Honorable Mention as announced by the AVCA East Coast Region Committee on Tuesday.

This marks the second time in program history that a player from The Citadel has gained recognition for the AVCA.
Ruffin posted one of the most dominant individual seasons in program history with 529 kills, averaging 4.52 per set. Ruffin was also second on the team, with 405 digs. She recorded 22 double-doubles on the season.
The native from Greenville, North Carolina, was honored as the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week five times, Offensive Player of the Month twice, and named the Offensive Player of the Year.
