2025 Ingles SoCon Volleyball Championship Bracket Released

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The ETSU Buccaneers won the Southern Conference regular-season title and claimed the top seed in the 2025 Ingles Southern Conference Volleyball Championship. The tournament will be held Nov. 20-23, in Asheville, North Carolina, at Harrah’s Cherokee Center - Asheville.

The tournament, which features all nine teams in the conference, begins with a first-round contest on Nov. 20, when Western Carolina faces The Citadel, at 4 p.m.

ETSU (21-6, 15-1 SoCon), who was predicted to finish third in the preseason poll, won the SoCon regular-season title outright for the first time since 2022. As the No. 1 seed, ETSU will face the winner of No. 8 Western Carolina and No. 9 The Citadel on Friday, Nov. 21, at 1:30 p.m. The Buccaneers went 2-0 against both squads, winning over the Catamounts in four sets on Oct. 3, and via sweep on Nov. 1, and defeating the Bulldogs in three sets on Oct. 9 and Nov. 7.

Western Carolina won both matches against The Citadel this season. The Catamounts won by sweep on Sept. 26, and Oct. 24.

Furman was predicted to finish fourth in the preseason poll, but the Paladins concluded the regular season as the No. 2 seed. The Paladins will face No. 7 Mercer in the third quarterfinal match. The two teams split the matches during the regular season, with each team winning in four sets on their home court.

The two-time defending tournament champion Wofford comes to the championship as the No. 3 seed. The Terriers begin their title defense against No. 6 Samford in the final match of the day on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Wofford won both regular season matches, earning a four-set victory on Oct. 3, and a sweep on Nov. 1.

Fourth-seeded Chattanooga will clash with UNCG, the No. 5 seed, in the first match on Friday at 10:30 a.m. UNCG won the two matches in the regular season, besting the Mocs in four sets on Oct. 3, and winning via sweep on Nov. 1.

The semifinal round of the tournament will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, with matches scheduled for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., before the tournament culminates at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, with the championship match. Tickets for the tournament can be purchased here .

The tournament champion will earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Volleyball Championship.
