THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The first women's tennis championship was held in 1984 in Johnson City, TN, where Chattanooga began a three-year run at the title. Furman has won 13 titles, including seven of the last eight. Chattanooga has five titles with Georgia Southern with 2. College of Charleston and Marshall also have claimed the championship.
