ETSU’s Ksenija Rage named SoCon player of the week
Sophomore goes 4-0 in a pair of conference duals
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s Ksenija Rage has been named the Southern Conference women’s tennis player of the week for all matches played from Feb. 24-March 2, the conference announced on Tuesday. The award is selected by the league office.
Rage was 4-0 for ETSU in a 7-0 win over Western Carolina on Feb. 24, and a 6-1 victory at UNCG on Feb. 28. In the dual with the Catamounts, the product of Benidorm, Spain, got a 7-5, 6-4 win at the No. 1 flight in singles, and combined with teammate Julia Millan for a 6-2 win in doubles. Against the Spartans, the sophomore got another straight set win in the top flight, winning 6-2, 6-3. Rage paired with Millan again versus UNCG, grabbing another 6-2 win in doubles.
ETSU travels to Lynchburg, Virginia, this weekend for duals against Liberty on March 6, and Memphis on March 7.
