SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU women’s soccer player Emma Arnold has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from Oct. 17-24.  The selection is made by the conference office.

Arnold assisted on both of ETSU's goals in the 2-1 win over Western Carolina last Sunday at Summers-Taylor Stadium. The first assist came off a corner kick where she found Grace Eatz open near the 6-yard box in the closing seconds of the first half. In the second half, the Bristol, Tennessee native headed one to an open Sinoxolo Cesane in the 66th minute who netted the Bucs game-winning goal.

With the win, ETSU secured the No. 2 seed in the SoCon Tournament as the Bucs improved to 10-2-5 overall and 6-1-2 in league play. The senior forward is majoring in elementary education and maintains a 3.97 GPA.
