scored on a penalty kick in the 107th minute to lift the Bulldogs to a 3-2 overtime win over Furman in the semifinals of the Southern Conference Tournament Sunday afternoon at Shauna Yelton Field.
With the win, which was the 300th win for Samford head coach

at the school, the Bulldogs advanced to the championship game of the tournament, with Samford hosting Mercer next Sunday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. at Shauna Yelton Field. Samford now has a record of 12-2-5 on the season. Furman ends its season with a record of 10-4-5.

stepped up to the penalty spot in the 109th minute of the game and buried her shot in the back of the net to lift the Bears to a 1-0 win over Western Carolina in the SoCon Tournament Semifinal Sunday afternoon from the campus of Western Carolina in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
With the win, the Bears advance to play the regular season champion Samford Bulldogs in the SoCon Tournament Championship game next Sunday, Nov. 9 from Birmingham, Alabama.
WCU - Sixth-seeded Mercer scored the lone goal of Sunday's Southern Conference semifinal match on a penalty kick awarded with less than three minutes remaining in the second overtime session as No. 2 seed Western Carolina saw its 2025 season come to an end as the Bears advanced with their second upset on the pitch at the Catamount Athletics Complex.
Mercer upended both third-seeded ETSU on Friday and second-seeded WCU on Sunday to punch its improbable ticket to next weekend's conference championship match.
