SoCon Announces Wrestler of the Week

SPARTANBURG, SC – Gardner-Webb redshirt sophomore T.K. Davis was named Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week for competition held between December 10-December 16.

Davis (Rockmart, GA / Rockmart HS) captured his second Wrestler of the Week honor this season. The 133-pounder won each of his matches last week, both 19-1 tech falls. Davis beat Buffalo’s Max Elton in 3:28 and was victorious against Kent State’s Nick Molchak in 5:42.

Davis is ranked as high as No. 16 nationally in his weight class this week and owns an 11-1 record this season. He has posted tech falls in four consecutive matches and in five of the last six.

Gardner-Webb (3-6) hosts Ohio University on December 21 and will begin the new year in Chattanooga at the annual Southern Scuffle on January 3-4.
