SoCon Announces Wrestler of the Week

App State’s Jarvis Little Picks Up Ranked Win

SPARTANBURG, SC – App State redshirt freshman Jarvis Little was named Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week for competition held between November 26-December 2.

Little (Spring Hill, TN / Summit HS) picked up another ranked win at 133 pounds on Sunday, defeating No. 26 Zach Redding in the Mountaineers’ first home dual of the season against No. 10 NC State. Redding is a two-time NCAA qualifier who was ranked inside the top 20 by some outlets this season. Little recovered from a Redding takedown with his own in the first period and rode out the second period with a 4-4 tie. Little took a 5-4 lead on an escape in the third and pulled off the winning takedown with only 22 seconds on the clock.

Little improve to 10-6 on the season and is ranked No. 30 nationally in his weight class by FloWrestling. He earned All-America recognition this past summer at the U23 Freestyle Nationals.

The Mountaineers (2-4) will wrestle at the 2025 Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas this weekend (Decembner 5-6).
