Furman’s Ryu named SoCon women’s golfer of the week
Ryu garners 2nd golfer of the week nod this season
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman’s Audrey Ryu has been selected as the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for the week of Oct. 2-8. The selection is made by the league office and is the sixth of the season.
Ryu, a native of Dublin, Ohio, finished fourth, individually, at Old Dominion’s Evie Odom Invitational, which was held Oct. 4-6. Ryu’s performance helped lead the Paladins to a second place finish.
Ryu posted rounds of 73, 68, and 69;, and tallied six birdies throughout the tournament. The Furman sophomore ranked second in the field in par-5 scoring, averaging 4.75 on those holes.
Furman returns to the green on Oct. 25, as they travel to the UNC Wilmington Landfall Tradition.
