Golfers T-6th as the Bears hosted the Brickyard Collegiate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Mercer’s Mikayla Dubnik and Eujin Pyon have been selected as the Southern Conference Women’s Co-Golfers of the Week for the week of April 2-8.

Dubnik and Pyon each finished tied for sixth out of the 63 players at the Brickyard Collegiate, which was hosted by the Bears and wrapped play on Tuesday.

Pyon, a graduate student, shot rounds of 73 and 77, while Dubnik, a senior, shot rounds of 76 and 74 on their way to a tournament score of 150 (+6). Both had five total birdies for the tournament, ranking them tied for fourth-most in the field.

The strong performances from each of these athletes helped the Bears capture the 2025 Brickyard Collegiate title, finishing two strokes ahead of runner-up Xavier with a score of 602.

The home green competition was Mercer’s final tune up, as the Bears will now head to West Columbia, South Carolina, to compete in the Southern Conference Championships on April 14-16.
