Wofford’s Kent and Parra named SoCon co-women’s golfer of the week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford’s Bella Kent and Regina Parra have been selected as the Southern Conference Co-Women's Golfers of the Week for the week of Oct. 30- Nov. 5.  

Kent, a native of Berkshire, England, posted rounds of 73-78-77 for a tournament score of 228. Parra, native of Mexico City, Mexico, also tallied a tournament score of 228, posting rounds of 80-74-74. These performances tied the Terrier golfers for fourth place in the 41-player field. 

Parra scored Wofford’s lone eagle, the first of her career, and seven birdies. Kent tallied nine birdies over the three rounds.  

The performances of Kent and Parra helped lead the Terriers to a first-place team finish at the Fripp Island Intercollegiate.  

Wofford has concluded the fall portion of the season and will return to the green on Feb. 21, at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational in Greensboro, Georgia.
